Congratulations to Dave Meyer
Dave Meyer, Glencoe general manager and CMPAS board director, will likely squeeze in a few more trips riding his Harley motorcycle as a newly elected board member of the Minnesota Municipal Utility Association (MMUA).
This past August, Dave was elected for a three-year term on the MMUA board where he will participate in planning and budgeting for the trade association’s important advocacy and training programs and conferences. Dave joined Glencoe Light and Power as general manager in 2010, and in addition to Glencoe, Dave brings familiarity with public power systems from Mountain Lake and Halsted to the statewide board. He also brings a deep understanding of how important it is to represent local customers in the halls of government from St. Paul to Washington, D.C.
Public power remains a strong business model and provider of electricity because of leaders like Dave, who are willing to lend valuable technical expertise to keep electricity safe, reliable, competitively-priced, and environmentally-sound. CMPAS commends Dave for his passion and service to the industry.
